I Won't Complain!

Hey Y'all:

There is a Christan song that my former Pastor, E.M. Shiver used to sing titled "I Won't Complain" written by Bishop William C. Abney some of the lyrics are ...

I've had some good days
I've had some hills to climb
I've had some weary days
And some sleepless nights
But when I look around
And I think things over
All of my good days
Out-weigh my bad days
I won't complain

Going into this new season I have decided that I'm not going to complain. If there is something going on in my life that makes me unhappy; I am not going to complain but rather do something to fix the situation. After all; all of my good days out weigh my bad days!

It's time out for constantly harping about the wrongs that are done, or situations that are preventing us from living our best life. If you are living with any of the "uns" unhappy, unloved, unfulfilled, uninvolved etc. don't complain about it; instead do something about it. Figure out what you need to do to make yourself satisfied. If it means getting rid of the person that makes you unhappy or leaving the job that leaves you unfulfilled do something about it. Don't complain make a change.

Until next time...
MUAH!

  1. Enjoyed the article!

However, I did want to mention to you, that the Bishop William C Abney was not the author of the song, "I Won't Complain." I've also noticed that many attribute the writing of this song to the late Rev Paul Jones, but in truth, this great gospel song was actually written in 1974 by the late Rev. Don Johnson from Nashville, Tennesse, an ALJC pastor. The correct title to the song is actually “I Can’t Complain”, but has been changed over time. Very few words have been changed to the Rev. Johnson’s song for the version, ” I Won’t Complain”. Please go to You Tube to view Rev. Don Johnson himself singing this beautiful original song, “I Can’t Complain" @ http://youtu.be/p4ZH2YAB77c
